The story
The beginnings
Philipp O’Larion began his career as an ALM consultant for Siemens Polarion®. He worked on numerous large-scale projects, created structures that helped teams cope with complex requirements, and was highly valued for his technical expertise. However, he increasingly noticed that important decisions were influenced more by time pressure than by their long-term impact.
The turning point
A visionary project to develop spacecraft was supposed to be the highlight of his career. Here, he wanted to show how important it is to think ahead. But even here, short-term decisions dominated. This experience changed him—he withdrew, convinced that projects needed to be more future-oriented. But his withdrawal was not the end: he began to collect evidence, compare projects, document failures, and identify patterns. It became increasingly clear to him that technology was not the biggest obstacle. This realization shaped his mission: to help organizations think beyond their day-to-day business, identify risks early on, and develop sustainable approaches.
Inspiration from the background
Since then, he has been operating under the name Agent “F” – F for Future – not as a traditional consultant, but sharing his insights in other ways. He gathers experience from projects, filters patterns from industries, and compares them with Polarion® best practices. He presents his findings in the form of confidential dossiers, interactive briefings, and case studies that companies can access or discover at events. Through his AI avatar, he answers questions directly, supplemented by ideas such as approaches, future scenarios, checklists, or anonymized case studies. In this way, he does not provide a ready-made recipe, but rather the necessary inspiration that enables teams to gain clarity, identify risks, and accelerate innovation.
Mission: Milan
Agent “F” makes another public appearance at Polarion4U Days in Milan. The city of innovation is the ideal place for him to showcase his mission: forward-looking ALM consulting that strengthens companies. He leaves his mark on site in the form of giveaways that participants can discover and take home with them.
